Emerald Ranma
An Officialish Mirrors-Multiplied Spinoff*
*That means I got his permission, kids. At least, I asked him, and he didn't say no!
Consider this story to have occured sometime after Chapter 9 in the Mirrors-Multiplied story.
I looked out at the multitude of fics where Ranma comes back ultra-powerful and said "Me too!" Then I realized something: Jeremy, you sniveling fool, you can do better than that. You can add: A character based on a character you created based off of you. Hey listen, I understand that fics where Ranma is too powerful to really challenge can be tedious, so don't worry. In this fic, Ranma will be more than challenged, he will be pushed harder than he can actually go. Wink wink nudge nudge, etc. Now to get you into the mood, imagine you're Ranma causally strolling down the road, whistling a tune, tossing a few chi attacks into the nearest Kuno. The day is perfect, the sun is shining, not a cloud in sight. You haven't been splashed once, and are feeling fine. Then the world collapses in front of you.

Prologue

Ranma found himself in a small room, with walls painted with sky landscapes, though when Ranma looked closer, he realized that the clouds were moving.  He looked up at the ceiling and instantly flinched away, as there was a sun shining brightly.  He ran his hands over a wall and was surprised to feel a normal texture.
“What kind of room is this?” He looked closely at the moving pictures on the wall, but was didn't see anything out of the ordinary.  “I can’t detect any illusion.”
“That’s because it isn’t an illusion.”  Ranma whirled toward the origin of the voice.  A tall man stood at the other end of the room.  He appeared like an ordinary human, with dark hair and a short-trimmed beard.  His robe, on the other hand, was anything but ordinary.  Colored black that seemed to draw in the light in the robe, the man wore the robes as though they were a second skin.  Ranma gazed at the bands of bright light streaming and crisscrossing each other on the surface of the robes as though they were painted on.  The man spoke again, his voice rumbling forcefully yet without being loud at all.  “It is actually merely transparent material.  We are floating in the middle of the sky above the Pacific.”  Ranma had met several people like the man before, self-assured and powerful.  Ranma didn’t understand what the man, if he was even human, wanted with him, but he decided to take the safe approach: I.e., not to attempt to escape, but to ask the man some questions.  He put on a thoughtful face.
“Uh huh.  Well then, good sir, why are we floating high above the Pacific Ocean?” The man chuckled.
“Aren’t you more interested in knowing who I am?” Ranma, a little taken aback at his thoughts being read so easily, wasn’t able to stop himself from replying.
“Ok, then, who are you?” The man floated over closer to Ranma.
“You may call me Lord Jeram.”  Ranma frowned.  ‘Lord’ Jeram? Lord of what?
“The title refers to the country I rule over.”  Lord Jeram said to Ranma’s surprise.
“What?” Ranma thought.  “Can he read my thoughts?”
“Not exactly,” Lord Jeram said.  “But your thoughts are practically being shouted to the metaphysical skies.  But not many would be able to so easily ‘hear’ even those shouted thoughts.  I am a Mental Master, a wearer of the black robes of the power.  I have come to this universe to talk to you.”  Ranma’s mind was still reeling, as he was trying to figure out exactly what this visitor was telling him.
“Okay, but why exactly do you want to talk to me?”
“Because I have been searching and searching through many universes, trying to find candidates for a special program I have devised.”
Ranma frowned. “Oh yeah? What kind of ‘program’ is that?”
Lord Jeram smiled. “You’ll see.”  He waved his hand, and instantly the two were in another room, this one as luxurious as any Ranma had ever seen.  Magnificent pieces of art were arranged throughout the room, while every piece of furniture, down to the smallest coaster, was a work of art.  Ranma found himself sitting in a luxurious chair, which seemed firm and downy at the same time.  The wood was a silky black, the armrests sculpted into the fierce countenance of a pouncing panther, while the cushions seemed to emulate the velvety nature of a great cat’s luxurious pelt.  Lord Jeram sat across from him, in a similarly designed chair, calmly observing Ranma’s reaction to the room.  “Like the accommodations? It took me months to find the greatest works of panther-related art.  And after all that, he didn’t even want them.”
Ranma peered at the black robed man.  “Who didn’t want them?”
Jeram smiled slightly.  “Just a friend.  As it turned out, he already had copies of most of these items already.  So I used them to spruce up this extra-dimensional subspace matrix.  Before it was mostly black with cascading energies lining the edges.  A nice effect, but hardly comfortable for guests.”
Ranma breathed deeply.  “As much as I appreciate this whole.”  He waved his hands at the room.  “Accommodation, I would like to know why you’ve brought me here.”
Jeram frowned.  “To be perfectly honest with you, Ranma, I thought that perhaps this place would help you transition more easily from your universe.  I’m sorry to see that you still having prolonged transitional anxiety.  And to answer your question, that means you have a condition where if you are displaced from your universe cluster of origin, you experience a form of hypertension.”  He sighed, and Ranma realized that he was indeed feeling rather anxious, and he released his tight hold of the armrests of his chair.  “Well, I suppose there’s nothing to be do except be done with it.”  Lord Jeram waved his hand, and before Ranma could react, he found himself in another place.

Chapter One:
The Arrival and Departure
Universe A: (Ranma's First World)     The streets of Nerima were suprisingly quiet. At least, this particular Nerima was quiet, actually a Nerima in an adjacent universe was exploding into battle:
Universe A.2:     "DIE AKANE!!!" A feral scream rent the air, and Ryouga leapt at Akane, swinging his umbrella like a mace. "You shall pay for your sins against dear beloved Mousse!"
Akane whipped out her mallet, and blocked the attack. "Well, RyOUga, perhaps if you weren't such an IDIOT, then I wouldn't have killed him!" Suddenly a fierce wind blew through the streets, knocking both combatants onto the hard, stone, ground. A tiny spark of green light appeared several feet above the street, and a shimmering, light green portal formed into the shape of a long oval. The wind died, and a figure emerged from the portal, which closed behind him.
Ryouga gasped. "Ranma, my dearest love! You've returned to slay Akane for me!"
Ranma looked blankly at Ryouga for a second, then slapped his head. He thought "Darn, I knew I should've checked which universe this was before appearing."
Akane stood up, rage smoldering in her eyes. "Ryouga! What have you done? DIE!!!" With an animalistic roar of rage she slammed Ryouga in the head, who went flying into the side of a building, causing it to collapse.
Ranma chuckled nervously. "Well, maybe I should just cast a cloud of forgetfullness, and get out of here. It really isn't my place to try and solve the problems of the inhabitants, even if they are like the ones from my universe." Ranma concentrated and began to chant.
A cloud, glowing with an ethereal energy, began to expand over the streets, as tiny emerald crystals began glittering inside the cloud. Ranma clapped, and the cloud expanded faster than the eye could see. A cool wind blew through the streets, and the cloud was dissipated into nothingness. A light green glow emanated from everything that had been under the cloud, but it quickly faded. All was as it had been before Ranma had arrived.
Ranma breathed in deeply, feeling slightly drained from the complicated spell. He pulled a small emerald key out of the air and held it up, turning it slightly. A shimmering green portal appeared, and Ranma stepped through.
Universe Ranma_E_Matrix:
Ranma appeared into the self-made extra-dimensional pocket. He walked over to a tall cylinder and jumped high into the air, landing softly inside it. The inside walls of the cylinder were covered with constantly changing screens of coruscating lights, each indicating a separate universe. Ranma pulled out his emerald key and slowly waved it around, feeling for the correct universe. When he found the correct one, his original universe, he inserted the key into that screen and turned it.
Universe A:
Ranma popped into existence high above the streets of Nerima, maintaining an invisibility spell to avoid detection. He cautiously snuck out a small probe to ensure that the universe was indeed the one he wanted. The results came back positive.
Ranma breathed a sigh a relief. "Thank the Infinite. Now I can finally see my old friends and family." He quickly flew over to the Tendo's house, where he found to his surprise, nearly all his friends and family gathered together, at least from this universe, and at least the ones he cared about. His mom and Dad, the Tendos, the Amazons, Happousai, Ryouga and Ukyo were all sitting around enjoying themselves at what appeared to be some sort of dinner party. Ranma smiled as he saw Akane and Ukyo laugh at something Nabiki said. Nodoka walked to the middle of the room and cleared her throat.
"I know we're all glad to be having a good time together." A general murmur of approval rose up. Nodoka raised her hands to quiet them. "But I think it's time we got down to business." Nearly instantly, somber expressions replaced happy ones except of course for Genma, who was still scarfing down food. "Genma!" Ryouga and Ukyo pulled Genma off the food and Nabiki threw a glass of cold water at him. Nodoka smiled. "Thank you. Now as you all know, Ranma has been gone for about a year now, with no indication of his return. As Cologne figured out earlier, our universe has a slower time rate than other ones, so he would have experienced at least . . . Cologne, how many was it?"
Cologne sighed. "Approximately two thousand years." Gasps met that announcement. Ranma mentally slapped himself in the head.
"Ranma you fool, you should have thought of this. Oh well, might as well get this over with. I don't want them to know I was spying, so I better come up with something elaborate to make it seem as if I was just arriving." He closed his eyes and held out his hands, letting energy flow through him. He thrust out his hands and said under his breath: "Emerald Portal, Level Two, Basic Transport." He faded from existence.
A loud clap of thunder interrupted Cologne in midsentence. To everyone's amazement, lightning bolts began collecting around the entryway, and began to outline it. A brilliant emerald green light appeared within it, and Ranma stepped out. The light instantly died away.
Nabiki smirked. "Ranma, Ranma, Ranma. You always have to have the best entrance, don't you?"
Ranma grinned at her. "You know it, Nabiki. Anyway, I have to discuss something very important with you all." The tone, commanding and serious, struck a chord with the assembled, and they quieted.
"What is it my son?" Nodoka asked in a comforting voice.
Ranma looked out at his closest friends and family. "I know you all know how I no longer consider this universe my home." Faces fell around the room. Ranma hurried to continue. "However, due to some recent experiences of mine, I think I have a solution. But first," he raised his arms to quell the already starting questions. "I need to show you all something."
He took a step back, and lowered his head. A emerald green color began to surround him, and he raised his head, eyes glowing. "Emerald Transform!" A gasp ran across the room. Ranma had grown about two feet and fifty pounds, and was currently sporting armor apparently made completely from giant pieces of emerald. "I am not just Ranma anymore. I am now: Ranma, Emerald Adept 2nd Class, Fourth Mastery, Submastery Sensory." Silence met this announcement.
Cologne cleared her throat. "I think I'll ask the question I know everyone's thinking. So Ranma, what exactly does that mean?" >>The Goddess knows how many things you've learned.<
Ranma gave her a sad smile. "Well, it's a long story."
Genma-Panda snorted and held up a sign. "Well, let's hear it."
Ukyo gazed at her fiance. "Yeah, Ranma, we have time."
Ranma sighed. "I'd love to, but . . . well, you remember how there's another universe where I want to live. Well, you all, at least most of you, have doubles in that world that I am quite fond of, and I would like them to hear the story too. Therefore, I've decided that we'll all go there and then I can talk and answer all of your questions."
Akane frowned. "But Ranma, I thought that it was difficult to travel between universes."
Shampoo chimed in. "And what about time difference between universe and universe?"
Ranma smiled genially at the Amazon. "Shampoo raises a good point, but don't worry. I've got it covered. Just let me set it up. Emerald Key!" A large glowing key appeared in Ranma's outstretched palm. He inserted into an invisible keyhole and turned it. A large glowing doorway appeared. Ranma breathed deeply. "Ok, folks, I'll be back." He stepped through the portal.

Universe B:
The assembled company in Universe B watched in amazement as their exact duplicates followed Ranma through the glowing emerald doorway. Their reaction was equally as priceless. Each Nabiki peered at the other.
    >>I wonder which one of us is smarter?<<
Kasumi-B bit her lip thoughtfully. >>I wonder which one of these girls is Ranma's fiance in their universe."<<
Akane-A looked at her mirror image. >>I wonder if she's as good as I am in martial arts? She doesn't look so strong.<<
Ukyo-B gazed in shock at her double. >>What's with the guy's clothing?<<
Ranma cleared his throat, and all eyes instantly turned to him.
"I've brought you all together here because you're all from universes that I consider home.
::FIGHT SCENE::
The air rippled around them and without warning a small black fog appeared floating in the middle of the room.
Arabarr cursed. "Great. This is all we needed."
Cologne peered at the dark cloud. "What is that anomaly?"
Before he could answer, the dark fog instantly coalesced into a strange form. Without warning, the form snapped into a hideous, vile monster. Arms that very vaguely humanoid, heavily muscled, with sharp protrusions, raised into the air. A face that defies description save that it was ugly and decidely non-human glowed a strange darkish color. The monster screeched at the assembled company.
Shaken, Nabiki-A turned to the ruby warrior. "What is that thing?" >>Mainly, can you kill it?<<
Arabarr frowned. "It's a monster, a beast from an alternate dimension with different rules of reality. They are called Golrathki. Everyone stand back now! We'll take care of him"
The Golrathki snarled and reared up, as bolts of chi energy, bandannas, mallets, mini-spatulas, bonboris, fire bombs, and calculators (Go Nabiki!) slammed into the vile fiend, knocking it onto the ground
Cologne (remember, only one Cologne is there) smirked. "We're not as helpless as you might think." Suddenly, the monster rose to its feet, with no apparent injury. A collective gasp arose from the group.
Arabarr sighed. "No offense, but let me see what I can do."
The Golrathki raised huge claws and lunged at the ruby warrior, who deflected the attack with a small wind attack. One claw slashed silently through a nearby table, which quietly disentegrated into shadows. Both Kasumi's gasped and Nabiki-B gulped. If all the monster required to kill was a touch, then they were in serious trouble.
A low growl came from the scarred countenance of the Golrathki, who was of a race not used to missing. With a scream that shattered nearby mirrors, it charged at Arabarr. Arabarr, holding steady, crossed his arms. "RUBY SLASHER!!" Instantly, two curved blades of glowing red light spun toward the Golthraki, who held up its arms to block the attack. The impact slammed the Golrathki back into the wall, which began to fade away into shadows as it crumbled.
With a circular motion of his hand, Arabarr traced a spiral in the air, eyes closed, concentrating with fierce determination. As the Golrathki got to its feet and rushed with unbelievable speed toward the ruby warrior, he thrust out his hands. "RUBY SPIRAL!!" With a scream of pain, the monster was lifted into the air, waves of bright red energy coursing through it.
Arabarr slumped, exhuasted. He turned to his dark-skinned companion. "I could use some help, friend." The !Mak held out his hands and turned each palm open. A thin sapphire rod appeared in it, and Oof!oo clutched it, and without warning pitched it at the recovering Golrathki. The monster barely managed to hit aside the projectile, when the rod suddenly emitted a high-pitched whine. Everyone slumpled to the floor, even the monster, except the sapphire master. The ruby-armored warrior slowly got to his feet, now wearing a spiked helmet shining brightly that matched his outfit.
Arabarr glanced at his comrade. "I wish you had told me you were going to do that." He called out a word of power, and was instantly engulfed in a stream of shimmering scarlet energy ~J(Ah, alliteration!)J~. The Golthraki arose, recovered completely, while everyone else in the room slowly got to their feet. It glanced at the disoriented humans and with a speed that belied its bulky appearance, leaped at the nearest one. This one happened to be Akane-B, who shrieked and ducked, as a mallet wielded by Akane-A slammed into the vile being's skull. With a gasp of surprise, Akane-A realized that her mallet had disentegrated the moment it had touched the horrid monster's skull. The distraction provided by the mirror image girls was long enough for the ruby warrior to launch his final attack. He crowed in triumph, a roar that echoed across the dimensions. "BLAZE OF JUSTICE!!" The impressive aura of energy surrounding the warrior began to flare, and suddenly the Golrathki's body was ablaze. As the monster faded from existence, its dying scream permeated the very air of the room, causing nearly everyone to cringe instinctually at the cacophonous sound.
At that moment Mori and Ranma appeared, with Mori helping Ranma stand. All eyes turned to them.
    Ranma groaned. "What next?"
    ::SOUND OF MULTIPLE FOREHEAD SLAPPING::
    The air rippled around them.
    Ranma winced. "Oops."
Nabiki-B (man, it's getting hard to keep track) narrowed her eyes. "Ranma, please tell me you have a Plan B."
Ranma chuckled nervously. "Well, uh heh heh. See, here's the thing. I didn't think..."
"That's obvious," both Nabikis muttered then started, before quickly falling into laughter.
Mori rubbed his hands vigorously. "Well lucky for you all, I have a Plan B." He reached into
